Surfskate Love Wheels Now Available in Germany at Youth Lagoon

Youth Lagoon in Hamburg, Germany is the newest Surfskate Love wheels distributor.
Youth Lagoon is a fashion and skateboard brand founded by Max, a graphic designer, and Mai, a garment engineer.
Max and Mai are skaters, travelers, hard-working enthusiasts, but most importantly, outdoorsy and ocean lovers. Their mission with Youth Lagoon is to build a company that puts people and the planet above profits.
Max and Mai have a particular love for surfskating. For the past several years, they have been one of the main retailers of surfskate products in Germany, as well as all over Europe. They offer surfskate trucks, surfskate wheels, and complete surfskate models from Carver, YOW, SwellTech, Slide, and more.
I’m thrilled to announce that they’ve added the full line of Surfskate Love surfskate wheels to their surfskate shop. They can ship all over Germany, as well as all of Europe, to save you money on shipping and customs fees.
Youth Lagoon’s Commitment to Social Equity and Ecological Sustainability
Youth Lagoon believes that,
“…social equity and ecological sustainability are natural and fundamental for modern society and businesses. Therefore, our goal will always be to respect the men and women who make our clothes and to…limit our impact on the environment.”
To accomplish these goals, they do the following and more:
- Give 1% of their revenues to the 50 Reefs Initiative, which saves coral reefs that impact climate change.
- Use only sustainable materials, including recycled polyester made from post-consumer and post-industrial plastic, which otherwise would end up in landfills or in the ocean, and organic cotton grown from non-genetically modified plants and without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals.
- Use only manufacturers with certified fair working conditions.
- Use plastic-free packaging.
- Use regional sourcing for their surfskate decks, which avoids additional transportation and reduces the carbon footprint.
Youth Lagoon Surfskate Decks
Youth Lagoon has also designed their own surfskate decks, a 32” classic Retro Fish and a 38” longboard surfskate with cork top.
Their surfskate decks are handcrafted by watermen in a regional woodshop on the coast of northern Germany.
32” Mawi and Berawa Surfskate Decks
A wide nose with an extra leverage on the front truck combined with that solid 18.5″ wheelbase result in a super mellow ride, easy to gain top speed, yet highly reactive board to surprise with aggressive maneuvers. This deck was made to cruise around town in true retro style.
The concave and extra grippy clear grip lock your feet and stance on the nose of the board while that narrow tail allows your toes and heels to clamp into the rails like they would into the tracktion pad of your surfboard. A little more kicker on the tail helps to pop the board of the ground.
38” Tavarua and Reef Longboard Surfskate Decks
At 38” long and 10.5” wide almost from nose to tail, their longboard shape gives you enough space to cross-step up and down the full length of the board while maintaining total control of your ride. Despite a massive wheelbase of over 25,” the width of the deck puts so much leverage on any truck that the board is capable of offering spontaneous tight turns and maneuvers to find your line.
A low concave with hardly any rocker and the cork top improve the possibilities of hang-tens, pirouettes and traveling up and down the board with graceful, simultaneously fluid footsteps.
