I can’t BELIEVE how much of a difference the Riptide bushings and pivot cups made! – Particularly on my C5/C4 setup. I recently added a CX/C2 build to my quiver because my C5 seemed too stiff and I wanted a surfier bushing based truck for bowl riding that wouldn’t be as sketchy on coping as my YOW meraki setup. However, now with the pink bushings up front on the C5, I’ve got a super snappy carving, nimble, light, low clearance C5 setup on an 8.5″ wide popsicle deck – drilled out +2″ up front for a 16.5″ wheelbase. This is probably going to be my go-to on any transition over waist high. And my slightly longer 17.5″ wheelbase CX setup is on hand when I want to draw longer carves. Still prefer the Meraki with 18.5″ WB for the flowiest pumps, carves, and snaps on flats and mild transitions. I really appreciate the precision of the geometry and sizing of the Riptide bushings after riding both stock and then Knuckles with CX. I love the smooth and responsive rebound of the Knuckles, but they are noticeably taller than the Riptide and stock bushings. I also flipped the kingpin on both the CX and the C5 for hanger clearance to grind. Doing this with the Knuckles provided just enough for metal coping, but I have a goal to conquer some pool coping and need those couple extra millimeters clearance with the Riptide bushings not to destroy the Kingpin head. For reference, I am 6′ tall, ~187 lbs at 49 yrs and am also a surfer. Also, all my wheelbase measurements are between inner bolts. Anyway, keep up the great work with your collaborations and content. I love what you are doing for the surfskate community.

Perfect CX bushings. Smooth, responsive and excellent rebound. Really livened up my Carver set ups. Highly recommend.

I purchased two sets. One for my Carver Greenroom and one for my Carver Swallow. Both with CX trucks. Out of the bag you really notice the material appears quite greasy. Both setups have been tested by me (88kgs) and my 10 year old daughter (30kgs). For the swallow it was an instant hit, we had to adjust the screw a bit to get max turn but very good combo. Buttery feeling and good rebound. Father/daughter approved! For the Greenroom, we had a difference of opinion. My take is that the stock bushings are stiffer and give more pushback, enabling higher speeds when pumping. They are very smooth though. So for me, these are not bad, but I think I will order the set of harder bushings as the Greenroom is my longer distance and pumptrack board. My daughter on the other hand, really loved these on the Greenroom as she is now able to actually pump it with some grace. She is in fact so stoked ,that she is now saving up to purchase a Carver with her own money. And it absolutely must have the yellow bushings installed! Order process and shipping to the Netherlands was A+. Highly recommended!

Picked these up for my 10yr old , she opted for surf skate instead of skates (stoked!) for Christmas. Now it’s much easier for her to pump.

This is Riptide’s best formula! It has awesome lively rebound, and the pressure stays consistent through the range of turn, it doesn’t stack up. They last longer than most as well! Total blessing that it’s out for surf skates now! Be sure to get the duro you need though, as cranking the kingpin nut down doesn’t tighten these up the same as it does with other formulas. That’s by design. Get the right duro and it will be the best ride you had yet!

Amazing difference.
I’m a way older rider who is 6’0” and in the 165lb-175lb range.
I bought a complete 15” wheelbase, Carver X Bing Puck CX to learn on and help my surf turns.
I couldn’t pump that thing to save my life. The front felt like it just had way too much resistance to turning. I was like WTF, it can’t be this hard to learn to pump a surfskate.
I got the pink & yellow sets; I put the pinks on and was immediately able to carve and turn my board with ease.

I replaced the Loaded bushings on my Carver Bolsa CX and my Omakase CX. I went with Yellow in the back and Pink in the front of both. Right away I noticed how much easier it was to turn and pump with much less foot and ankle input. I like to cruise long on my Omakase and my feet hurt less on the long rides. An excellent upgrade from already “upgraded” bushings!
